Trail Food- One day's worth Here is what we eat while on the trail. The bottom row is our breakfast which consists of an oat/chia/protein mix or a dehydrated egg/cheese/potatoe mix or a savoury dried bean mix. We create the mixes ourselves and are perfecting the recipes as we go along. The bag is enough … Continue reading GDT # 4a FOOD on the Trail
GDT # 4 Banff
Our Trail Angels returned us to where we left off in Kananaskis Lakes and we began the leg of the journey to Banff. Crowsnest Mountain outside Coleman We enjoyed a fabulous rest day in Coleman checking out the coal mining and rum running history. PCT Second Leg: Mile 110-179 Warner Springs to Idyllwild
In this 4 day section we found the experience on the trail to transition from easy to the most challenging we have ever done. The gentleness of the slope leaving Warner Springs grew into longer ascents as we traversed the mountain sides and the steepness increased a few days in. Despite the higher elevation, it … Continue reading PCT Second Leg: Mile 110-179 Warner Springs to Idyllwild
